GEAR
We just got our fourth Bibler tent. In 2007 we are carrying their Hi Light tent.
ULA produces top notch, lightweight backpacks. The non-thruhiking community is discovering Brian's backpacks as evidenced by Backpacker Magazine's awards.
We each used the 14 ounce G4 backpack from GVP Gear on our CDT & AT hikes. Then we switched to their newer Mariposa backpack for the ADT. These packs are fragile and not for everyone, but they are lightweight.
Ron Moak's lightweight hiking gear company. Popular tents and backpacks for lightweight backpacking.
Henry Shires TarpTents
We use PocketMail to keep our journal on the trail and to keep in touch with friends and family.
We spend a lot of time and money here.
A local outfitter that we frequent.
Snow Peak's Giga Power stove was recommended to us 2 weeks before we left our first PCT hike. We liked the small size and ease of use so much we decided to go with it.
FOOD
One of our favorite sources of dried vegetables and fruits.
Mary Jane's Farm has become a source of dried foods. We especially like their corn salsa.
Quaker bars have become a staple for our trail snacks.
Other Sites
Troop 911 was where Ken got his start in backpacking.
