Beans and Rice 1 cup Dehydrated Black Beans 1 cup Instant Rice 2 Tbsp Dehydrated Salsa* 2 cups water In advance, fill small zip lock bag with parmesan cheese. Place zip lock bag and bouillon envelopes into 1 qt freezer bag. Dump fideo and other spices into freezer bag. Boil 2 cups water. Add rice and salsa to water and simmer. Stir beans into rice. Put lid on pot lid and cover pot to let steep for 5 minutes. OR simmer for 5 minutes. We frequently add olive oil (about 1 Tablespoon) for calories. * We buy MaryJanesFarm Organic Corn Salsa. It adds flavor to the dish.
