We hiked the Tahoe Rim Trail in October 2001. It is a 165+ mile loop around Lake Tahoe. We started at Brockway Summit because it broke up the longest waterless stretch. Since we hiked in October we found many small streams and springs dry.

The TRT is a nice trail with some great views of Lake Tahoe - especially on the east side. The east side is also the driest part of the trail, and the most popular with the mountain bikers.

The table below shows our progress around the lake. The mileages are off a bit because the Camp Location is where we were planning to camp. The mileage is where we actually camped.

Camp Location Mileage Elevation Date
Brockway Summit 0.0 7000 10/6
Highway 73 16.2 7400 10/7
