Thank You, trail angels!

A group of hikers, including PCTA VP Bob Nida, did some much needed shopping for Marcia. She had run out of contact solution. We met the group before Cascade Summit. They couldn't find the contact solution by Cascade Summit, but here it is at the Elk Lake junction.

A good view of South Sister with Middle Sister behind.

Hillsides were full of Lupine in bloom. The perfume was everywhere.

The second group of llamas we saw on the trail.

No, Jerry, they didn't spit at us. But they seemed agitated, so we didn't stick around long.

View of Obsidian Falls. The mountain behind the falls is solid obsidian.

Marcia at the top of the trail through the lava flows. This lava really ate up our new shoes.

We decided to take a break and hitch out to Sisters. We had a good meal, a nice motel room, and interesting hitches. Then we were off to Ollalie Lake.
