Our new "Home
on Heels".
Stehekin was a
quiet town on the shores of Lake Chelan. It has one road that doesn't
connect to the outside world. You either hike in or take a boat.
This bridge was a
little saggy and the hand rails were a little low. We wondered if it would
be easier to ford the creek.
A shot of the long
trail ahead.
We got up the last
day and found snow on the ground. We had to climb another 2000 feet, so we
knew it would get worse. We were right, the wind started blowing the snow.
It snowed most of the day, even at low altitudes.
Ken was happy get
to the end.
Marcia was happy too.
