Ken and Marcia would like to thank everyone who has provided enthusiasm and support for this trek.

Special thanks to:

Bert and Marta for getting us off to a flying start - Literally! They flew us to El Cajon in their Bonanza V35A. Then delivered us to the border at Campo. Later they flew to meet us at Burney Falls. The final flight to Canada to retrieve us didn't happen due to inclement weather. So Marta drove to pick us up at Manning Park.

Linda and Jerry for updating our Journal with words and pictures while we were on the trail. They also met us at Sonora Pass and Burney Falls with lots of food! They also provided a lot of other support throughout the hike.

The Swifts for menu suggestions and headband flashlight holder.

The Oxenfords for the gift certificate for food items.

The Snow Peak staff for shipping fuel to 14 of our re-supply points. The changing of fuels was last minute, but everyone there was cheerful and supportive of our needs.

Nan and Walt for meeting us at Hyatt Lake with lots of good food and support.

One of the special bonuses was the help and generosity of the people along the trail. Besides the people you always hear about, we found many vacationers, campers, shop keepers, motorists, etc who were ready to help. Some examples of special help along the trail:

motorist who gave us five 3/4 liter bottles of water at Walker Pass when the campground water was dry. He wouldn't let us buy it.
hikers who bought contact solution for Marcia, then hiked into the trail to leave it for her
vacationers who gave us food at Crater Lake & Jackson Reservoir.
motorist who gave us a ride into Big Bear City, then gave us a tour of the town to show us the launder mat, post office, restaurants, grocery store, and camping site at the fire station.
inn keeper at Three Mile who gave us cold drinks in the desert and offered free steak dinners.
vacationers at Sisters who drove us back to the trailhead - 45 minutes out of their way.
Rick in Seiad Valley, who cooked cheeseburgers for 6 hungry hikers after his cafe was closed.
post offices who gave us packages after their normal hours.
vacationer who gave me his gloves after one of mine disappeared in the laundry.
various people who put fruit and cold drinks in coolers along the trail
campers and hikers along the trail who gave us food and water they no longer needed
