Here is where we are going: Map of Grand Enchantment Trail
We have a transcriber and photo editor lined up. Our extremely capable
helpers are Sharon and Linda who have helped us with many hikes. Both of
my friends are experienced travelers to exotic places like Australia, New
Zealand, Belize, Hawaii and too many states to name. I appreciate their
help with my alternate-mode-of-transportation journal.
Marta and Bert flying us to Mesa is infinitely more fun than any other
means of travel to Mesa. They are such good friends to drop us off in out
of the way places. Then they take the fast trip home. ;-)
Arizona residents are setting the standard for generosity and trail
angeling. Water caching is a wonderful gift of Biblical proportions.
Thank you, Dan, for the Freeman Road cache and the ride to First Water
Trail Head.
Luke is taking care of the home front…again. His payback is that I
will let him win at Mexican Train dominoes.
This adventure started as Blisterfree’s dream. I am glad that he has
big ideas. I am also very happy that the Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness
Ranger understands whatever it is that drives long distance hikers and is
willing to help rather than impede their forward progress.
So it is our feet that GottaWalk but none of this would happen without
the encouragement and assistance of so many people. We’re eager for
freezing temps to triple digit temps, desert slogs, slot canyon stream
wades, climbs to 10,000' and snow travel. Woo hoo!
Thank you!
