This picture was taken at a lunch break atop Rose Peak.  Flyin' Brian and his trail running group arrived just as we started eating  We took the opportunity to get our picture taken with him (2nd from left).

The Ohlone Trail is a really difficult 20 miles. My GPS measured over a mile of elevation gain. We were really exhausted after the hike.

A view of the climb up a hill on the Dipsea Trail in Marin County. We like to hike this trail from Mill Valley through Muir Woods to Stinson Beach. Then we eat lunch and hike back. The trail is 14 miles of hills. We should have practiced more on this steep hill covered with roots. We saw lots of similar trails on the AT.
